Kachin singers and songwriters raised 90,000 yuan to help refugees

Kachin popular singers and songwriters participated in a fundraising stage show titled “Kachinland” on Sept 30, 2011 at Shweli Manau Compound in Yunnan Province, China.
The event was aimed to raise fund to aid Internally Displaced Persons, “the least among us”, as one resident says, in China-Burma border. Currently, just a few international donations reached to more than 40,000 displaced persons in Kachin and Shan State.
Kachin singers and songwriters included in this event were Lahpai Zau Hkam, Dashi Gunla, +3, Aurali, Lasham Hkali, Lasham Tu Mai, Hpauda Gun , Brang San (hkrum), Sky, Nhkum Brang Tawng, Maran Seng Hpung , K. Seng Lat , Nhkum Hkam Awng , Mizai Lum Naw, Kareng Kai Din, Lasang Ji Bu, Lagwi Yaw Myaw, Lashi Hkawn Hkawn, Nhkum Htu Seng ,Ying Ying Hke @ Hkawn Htoi , and Lu Pan Hkawng, said a local resident.
The stage show raised more than 90000 yuan to help fund Internally Displaced Persons. Kachins living inside and outside Burma have been helping with their own limited resources while just a few assistances come from international organizations.
